When i download a Google app, “Installed” appears but I can’t find it.
We can see all the files which you have downloaded in your phone. In Samsung phones or we can say that in all android phone we can find our downloaded files in a folder called ‘My Files’ , sometimes this folder is in another folder called ‘Samsung’ located in the app drawer. You can also search your phone via Settings > Application Manager > All Applications
- Tap on “apps” on your screen.
- Tap on “samsung”.
- Tap on “my files”.
- Tap on “documents” You ll see all the files you downloaded.
In most Android phones you can find your files/downloads in a folder called ‘My Files’ although sometimes this folder is in another folder called ‘Samsung’ located in the app drawer. You can also search your phone via Settings > Application Manager > All Applications.
I also have this problem. It tells me the file is downloaded but I can’t find it anywhere. This is happening to me with images. I set my phone to give a notification which appears at the top left with a download arrow which indicates the file is downloaded. I tap that to see the file, then use the three “more" dots at the top right and select “open with". I choose to open it with Gallery. Now the image is in my gallery and I can find it there.
Try looking in “my files”, click My device, then click the android folder, then click the data folder, then click the com.android.chrome folder, then click files folder, then click Download folder. You should find downloaded files there. Try this. John
I don’t know yet how to retrieve the downloaded images. I have the same problem. But I do know how to fix it. It put the download folder back into gallery. Settings, Applications, click on 3 dots right hand corner, App permission, Storage, Samsung Internet. Give the Internet or Google permission to storage and viola. Still workingon retrieving the already downloaded pictures….
Have you seen any folders named “Google” or related..? (Edit:Try looking in the app drawer for a Search option if you dont see a folder.)
Swipe up to see all your apps. Locate the app/folder titled “Samsung.” Click on that and an app should be titled “My Files.”
When I went to download I just pushed download
If you install the app directly via Google Play your app will be installed on the device (or SD card or both) and there no APK file remains. If you downloaded APK via a third party web site on the web browser then after installing downloaded APK should remain unless you deleted it manually or via junk cleaning app. It should be on your downloads folder in device storage or SD card, usually in a folder called /Download. Sometimes your downloaded files are sored in a folder called SD card /MyFavorite. Probably users don’t think this as a downloads folder. Instinctively, it looks more like a bookmarks folder but I found my downloaded files automatically saved there while using Android stock browser on Android 5.1 Lollipop. However, I should mention that it is a heavily modded ( which means I have deleted several key google components which could probably be attributed to this strange behaviour) and rooted device. It is not a Samsung device but an Intex device. SO THIS ANSWER PROBABLY DON’T APPLY TO SAMSUNG DEVICES. P.S.: I am not an expert on this matter.
I couldn’t download apps
How do I find my downloaded ringtones?
