so funny story theres a spider trapped between the LCD part and the glass. how do i remove the glass so i can safely extract my new 8 legged friend before it pushes up daisies in an inconvenient spot?
I had a similiar problem with an ant that died right smack dab in the middle of the screen, but I managed to get it out without breaking anything so it is possible.
I dont know what tablet you have but I will relate my experience to maybe guide you on your dissasembly.
Firstly I would double check to see if there are any videos or tutorials on how to dissasemble your tablet. If you cant find any, this is what I did fer mine.
1: On the back of my tablet after removing the stand screwed to it, there were three screws I needed to remove, two on the bottom corners, and then one more on the side above the buttons that turn it on and change the screen qualities.
2: After that, I had to get a knife to shimmy the back panel off becuase it has those latches that only move if you selide something between the rims of hte front and back panel. Just be carel trying to pull it off and note the points of tension to help guide you on how to pull it off. Whatever you do just dont brute force anything, everything can be taken off with only a modicum of force.
- Once I got the back panel off there was a thing attached to the inside of both the back and front panel, as well as the microship for the buttons on the bottom end of the tablet. I carefully slid the buttons chip out of its slot with a knife and then went to work unscrewing the four screws that attatched the larger chip casing thing to the front panel. Once I did that, I had free access to the panel with the screens and the ant trapped therien.
4: Next, for my tablet atleast, there was the main screen, a black paper stuck to the top edge that covered the seam and a cord attached to the bottom corner. Going around the border of the screen you’ll notice some tiny metal latches holdin ght escreen in place, youll need to shimmy these out of the way with a knife. Be careful with the top end with the black paper, because there are some things down there that connect to the screen, but you should be able to cut (carefully) along the edge of the paper to get access to the rest of the latches. Once all the metal latches have been released, (Be sure to lift it from the bottom, not where the black paper is as the screen is connected to the glass) you should then be able to get yer spider out of the way ^^
Again, grain of salt as our tablets may be different, but a guide like this would lhave helped me so maybe itll help somebody else.
