I just repaired the screen on an iPhone 7. Bought it off ebay to repair, was listed as having cracked screen and home button not working. Received the phone and turned it on before repair, assistive touch was on but home button didnt work. Replaced the display, put everything back together, and powered back on. Now assistive touch button is gone, but still stuck at the screen with “press home to open.” How do I get past this without assistive touch, and why did it just go away, I didn’t reset or anything. Thanks!

Connect your iPhone, to a computer with iTunes installed. In iTunes, select your device. From the Summary pane, click Configure Accessibility in the Options section at the bottom.Select the Voice Over and click OK.Double tap on the Press home to open text.

Home bottom is broken then i cannot double tab on the home bottom

If your setting jt up for yourself, restart it.

if u need to get to the language menu turn on the phone then shut it off then u can turn it on and if will go to the sett up screen past the part where i need to press the home button

If I understand right, your iPhone is setup just missing home button on screen ? Swipe from right to left for camera, make any picture, then open picture in camera. In top right corner you will have ALL PHOTOS - tap on it - and you should be on screen to unlock you Phone with code. Unlock it and from bottom menu you should be able to get into Settings (depend how is your menu setup - I have it there).
