Some software apps will apparently generate the longer en-dash when you type two consecutive hyphens (I got this behavior in Libre Office for example)....

Where would I go to be able to use the controller? This looks like it could be that you’re in the wrong shooting mode. You will need to be in Modes: P, Tv, Av, M, or A-DEP for this feature to work properly....

Is there any way to retrieve the data (photos and videos is what i am really after) at all?? It is not possible without repairing it to turn it on first. Unless maybe you check your iCloud backup to see if the data is already backed up....
Chosen Solution How would you remove the keyboard on the GS63VR? There are quite a few plastic caps that lock the plate and keyboard in place. Would it be fine to snap them off? you have to take the motherboard out. Then you can take the keyboard out after that i believe. Most msi models similar to yours require that.

Chosen Solution Have a tiny dark spot on display screen. Its not a stuck pixel, not sure if its a smudge on the screen. I tried to clean the screen, but no avail its still there. Any suggestions ? or how could i tell if its on the inside or outside ? Could be a dead bug, I’ve had that before on a screen. Chosen Solution I have one of these older units (4th gen with a 60 gig drive) that the drive has failed. The 60 gig drives are quite spendy, its really not worth spending $90.00 for a HDD, however a 30 or even a 20 gig drive would bring this back to a usable life again for less than $50.00. Can a person put a smaller HDD into these? Or will the main board freak out?...
Chosen Solution Hi, I replaced a battery on my son’s iPhone 7. The install itself was fine, we had no issues getting the battery replaced and everything reassembled. The phone booted up fine, touchID worked, but the home button does not work (nor do the haptics associated with it). But if I try and the touchID doesn’t accept my thumbprint, then the haptics kick in. So the engine is hooked up properly, it is a home button issue....
