Chosen Solution I recently did a teardown top to bottom clean on my Macbook Pro, and accidentally ripped the trackpad cable, which contains a temperature sensor. Due to that, the fans run at full blast and the CPU is throttled because it believes something is at 100C, however using an app such as MacFansControl I can confirm that that maximum temperature is 40C, so there is no need to throttle or run the fans at full speed....

Chosen Solution When I press power, hard drive spins up and fan turns on but screen is blank. Pressing F2 does noting 95% of the time. That rare 5% it BIOS does come up and then it can boot into the OS. But I have to spend hours turning it on and back off until it turns on once, but once it is shut down the problem is there again. I think the bios might be messed up or something....

But just because a battery would show the proper voltage, does not mean it will hold a charge....
