Chosen Solution Um so On my controller I was able to open all the screws except for the bottom left which I pretty sure is stripped. Can someone help? It’s not stripped the head is rounded out. It looks like it takes a allen wrench. Try wrapping the head of the allen wrench with cellophane/plastic wrap to help fill up the area around the wrench head and try it. Or you can try the metric size or standard size which is whichever is not the regular size wrench....

Any time a device with adhesive is taken apart, the adhesive should be replaced if possible. However, in this case, it appears that iFixIt does not have the adhesive. Most of the time, the adhesive is just used as a water barrier and isn’t actually used for holding the front cover on....

Chosen Solution Hi all, I just replaced my LCD and when I boot up my phone the display seems to work but after 1 or 2 seconds the backlight shuts off. The screen is fully functional; touch works as well as the pixels. I can only see the pixels by holding the screen at a 45 degree angle while shining a flashlight. Any solutions? Did I connect anything wrong? I’ve had a very similar symptom happen on an iPad 2 for example....

Chosen Solution @macman67 your screen lost complete contact with the ribbon cable that is coming from the driver board to the display. Since those are attached via a special bonding process, it is not a good DIY’er repair. Yes, replacing the display will be the prudent thing to do Thanks, heat “rebonded” the cable on that section and all is well again. Thanks!

Chosen Solution The fan on my iMac is frequently running at high speed, often shortly after start up and not under heavy use. I have installed and run TGPro app which has identified possible problem with temperature sensors “optical drive, LCD, unknown name”. Is there any way of checking these or is it easier to replace? Chosen Solution Well my mom drove from my aunts to my house in the Monte Carlo bout 4days ago and while driving on the interstate my car died on her she put the car in neutral. And sat on side road trying to start back up and wouldn’t at first so she said she waited bout 5mins and it started up and she made it home the next day her and I were gonna go get a bit to eat I started car to let warm up and it died so I started it back up went 5miles down the road no problem till I get back to the house I was gonna leave it running and it died and since yesterday cannot get it to crank back up a cple times yesterday when I would try to start it it would act like it was trying to start but just bogged out to now it will not even attempt to turn over so I’m 90 percent sure its the fuel pump and I am gonna replace the filter 2but I am no mechanic I am a painter I have already paid 265....

Chosen Solution My Kodak Ektralite 10 has a flashing orange light. I’ve looked into it and apparently it means the batteries are dead or charging up the camera and to wait up to four hours. I’ve replaced the batteries and waited over 24 hours. still flashing. not sure what to do next the capacitor for the flash is blown and not charging. Chosen Solution Mike, my club car electric rear brakes self adjusting 1996 model serial A9644-541191 has rear brake squeal and I need to inspect the shoes. The adjusting screw to loosen the brakes shoes to allow drum removal does not exist(it is a small smooth disc) and therefore I conclude that the brakes are self adjusting.
